Mercy’s AI-powered tools are helping physicians see more patients, diagnose faster and reduce burnout—all while lowering health care costs. Innovation with heart and purpose! (fb)

Anna Sanders’ path to becoming a nurse began with a single, life-changing moment. At just 16, after giving birth to her first child at Mercy Hospital South, she encountered a nurse whose kindness and compassion left a lasting impression. That experience planted a seed—one that would grow into a lifelong dream. At 17, Anna took her first job at Mercy Hospital St. Louis, working in the coffee bar. Over the next five years, she juggled work and nursing school, facing setbacks and obstacles that would’ve stopped many. Though she had to pause her education, Anna didn’t give up. Instead, she pivoted, becoming a tech in the neuro department, where she served faithfully for 17 years. But the dream of nursing never left her. With the encouragement of her family, co-workers and Mercy’s unwavering support through the Win from Within program, Anna reignited her pursuit. Despite working up to 60 hours a week, she returned to school—this time with unstoppable determination. Fueled by the desire to be the same source of compassion she once received, Anna pushed through and earned her nursing degree. Her journey is a powerful testament to resilience, the strength of community and the unwavering belief that with support and determination, dreams can be realized. “Some will say I am devoted to Mercy! I am! I take pride in my job!” #FacesofMercy #MercyKids (fb)
