Afro Brazil Arts
Our mission is to inspire achievement, leadership and community through Capoeira, made accessible to people of all ages and abilities. Capoeira, from Brazil, is a martial art hidden in dance. Practitioners, called capoeiristas, play capoeira as a game inside a circle with live music and songs. Through performances and classes, Afro Brazil Arts (ABA), introduces thousands of youth to capoeira each year. We teach a form of capoeira called "mindful capoeira", which emphasizes building an inclusive community that embraces a non-competitive approach.
