MISSION STATEMENT Institute for Central American Studies encourages dialogue, mutual trade and cultural exchange between the peoples of the United States and Central America through educational and charitable activities for the mutual benefit of all parties, through: - Assessing the education needs of developing countries. - Designing and funding solutions to meet those needs in conjunction with local nonprofit agencies and individuals. - Raising in-kind contributions of items to donate to noncommercial health care providers in developing communities. - Delivering charitable, humanitarian aid to disadvantaged groups and to noncommercial organizations that aid them. ICAS works to accomplish its goals by coordinating and supporting the activities of various projects.
