Living City Project Home Programs About Apply Get Involved More Changing cities and changing lives together Looking for a meaningful and exciting semester experience in New York City. Our programs offer citybased experiences for young adults and teachers working with small groups of peers to creatively explore urgent challenges and opportunities facing the city. OUR PROGRAMS An experiential gap semester program for participants ages 1825 engaging with the city as a classroom laboratory studio and community Professional Development workshops in which teachers journey from theory to practice experiencing immersive fieldwork and designing classroom projects OUR APPROACH PlaceBasedWe go outdoors in small cohorts of 810 to explore the places history and policy and engage the people of NYC. ProjectBasedWe pursue consequential projects throughhandson problemsolving and participant agency.
