Eastereals South Carolina was founded in 1934. At that time the need for services to persons with disabilities was immense. Practically no organization, public or private, offered support. It was a time when those fortunate enough to survive a disability incurred at birth or from an illness or accident, were kept at home or in an institution with little or no treatment. Today, Easterseals South Carolina provides quality rehabilitation programs, speech, occupational and physical therapy, assistive technology, medical equipment, support groups, and public education campaigns.
