Happy HeartHappy Home is entering its 6th year as a nonprofit organization and while we offer sanctuary to animals of all kinds ranging from cows goats sheep and the like we have focused our mission on rescuing and rehabilitating old work horses in their senior years of life. We care for almost 40 equines a vast majority being of a draft breed that have been worked hard their entire lives and dumped off in the auction pipeline deemed unworthy destined for slaughter. They suffer from chronic ailments such as osteoarthritis lymphedema organ failure and the most common. emotional trauma.
