Home Diversity on the bench matters The Judicial Institute is dedicated to diversifying Washington States judiciary. Washingtons judiciary does not reflect the richness of the communities it serves but a fair justice system depends on judges with a wide variety of perspectives life experiences and career paths. We provide a comprehensive clinic other introductory programs and mentors to develop the skills and connections necessary to seek appointment or election to the bench. Through our efforts we strive to make the path to the judiciary more accessible and to increase the number of diverse attorneys seeking and securing judicial positions.
