The grants are part of Delaware 250’s support for museums, historic sites and nonprofits as they prepare for the U.S. semi-quincentennial next year to mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and Delaware’s statehood. Since it began in May 2023, Delaware 250 has handed out $278,951 in grants to 34 organizations across the state. The quarterly grant program helps groups develop programs and projects that showcase Delaware’s history before the national event.
