Older Adult Services Career Services Education Services Community Services Management Services Older Adult Services Career Services Education Services Community Services Management Services A Community Based Organization With a Citywide Impact Our Programs Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island provides a widespectrum of human and social services assisting all segments of the population citywide through five divisions Older Adult Career Education Community Management celebrating our achievements We are profoundly grateful for every opportunity to improve the quality of life health and welfare of those who are dependent upon our support and assistance. Last year some of our programmatic achievements included Hours of personal care housekeeping and shopping assistance provided New York City CleanUp Corps participants were placed in paid internships Hours of college and career preparation services provided Coney Island communitybased housing preservation events Nonprofit professionals assisted with capacity building services Students benefitted from afterschool programming across multiple boroughs Meals were provided through our eight older adult centers Hours of health insurance counseling and advocacy were provided Units of transportation to elderly and disabled seniors facilitating their access to essential medical appointments and other services Lowincome adult students provided with ESL instruction Support Our Work Every cent counts. Help us transform the lives of the needy in our communities. Our Mission We improve the quality of life of the frail elderly vocationally disadvantaged poor underprivileged immigrants and educationally atrisk youth of our city and provide technical assistance to enhance the programmatic administrative and fiscal capacity of other nonprofit organizations.
