TO REDUCE THE EXTENT OF ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG ABUSE IN THE FINGER LAKES, TO REDUCE THE FUTURE INIDENCE OF ALCOHOLISM AND OTHER DRUG DEPENDENCE, AND MINIMIZE THE HARM EXPERIENCED IN SOCIETY DUE TO THE CONSEQUENCES OF ABUSE AND DEPENDENCE.

Council on Alcoholism & Addiction - Finger Lakes Region | CAAFL Empowering Lives Transforming Communities Unite with us in the fight against addictionempower lives and uplift communities through education advocacy and support. Our Mission As recorded in the Certificate of Incorporation the mission statement of this Council identifies the following goals to reduce the extent of alcohol and other drug abuse in the Finger Lakes to reduce the future incidence of alcoholism and other drug dependence and to minimize the harm experienced in society due to the consequences of abuse and dependence. In 2005 the Council received an OASAS grant to add Gambling Prevention Services into the spectrum of services offered. Our Vision In 2000 the Staff at a Work Retreat formulated the Vision Statement which was accepted and adopted by the Board of Directors unanimously at the October 2000 Board of Directors meeting.
