Academic medical society for interventional pain physicians The World Institute of Pain (WIP) is an organization of physicians who specialize in pain medicine and contribute to worldwide consensus and guidance to alleviate pain. WIP promotes education and training of physicians in pain reduction; develops protocols and outcome studies in pain management; and provides certification programs for qualified physicians in interventional pain practice and ultrasonography techniques used in interventional pain practice.
