Welcome to Front Street Cowboy Museum 308 2846000 Front Street Cowboy Museum Front Street Cowboy Museum Welcome to Front Street Cowboy Museum Where the Past Comes to Life The End of the Texas Trail Between 1874 and 1884 Ogallala was a booming cow town. Cowboys would push Texas Longhorns up the Texas Trail to Ogallala and ship them east on the Union Pacific Railroad. Ogallala consisted of a small cluster of buildings including the two most notorious saloons The Crystal Palace and Cowboys Rest. Poker matches gunfights and saloon girls were a familiar site in the town.
