The main purpose of the Foundation isto provide additional support to the Omaha Police Department's Mounted Patrol Unit outside of the funding and staffing that they receive from the City of Omaha. The Foundation supports existing community engagement for the Unit while also adding new opportunities as well as create fundraising opportunities to aid in the purchase of additional supplies for the horses and their officers.
