Today, people with Down Syndrome are living longer and healthier lives than ever before. As the population of adults with Down Syndrome has grown, so has the need for more health care professionals who provide informed and respectful health care for these adults. Many health needs of adults with Down Syndrome are similar to those of neurotypical adults; however, there are some unique considerations for adults with Down Syndrome.
