WAS ESTABLISHED TO RAISE AWARENESS OF MORAL INJURY; PROVIDE EDUCATION ABOUT ITS IMPACT AND MITIGATION; TO DO RESEARCH TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM; AND TO ADVOCATE FOR CHANGES THAT WILL REDUCE IT.

Moral injury describes the plight of tough resourceful and resilient clinicians who feel trapped between the patientfirst values of their Hippocratic oath and the business imperatives of a broken healthcare system. The experience of moral injury is distinct from other forms of occupational distress including burnout.
