Dear friends, At 7pm last Friday, we received an email from the National Endowment for the Arts saying our grant to support the Core Writers Group had been pulled because it no longer fits the goals of the current administration. Had they honored their commitment to us, we would have to sign on to their terms of no DEI: no diversity, equity, or inclusion. To be clear, we would have to agree to homogeny, inequity, and exclusion.
