Our mission is to reduce harm through evidence-based improvements to the prescribing of benzodiazepines and Z-drugs. #InformedConsent #MentalHealth #BenzoCrisis We prevent harm with evidence-based improvements to the prescribing of benzodiazepines and Z-drugs, a long with We are the only organization dedicated to reducing the harm being caused by benzodiazepines (BZDs, such as Valium, Xanax, Ativan and Klonopin) by making evidence-based improvements to prescribing practices. About 50% of the people who use these medications for >= 4 weeks become dependent on them and suffer benzodiazepine-induced neurological dysfunction (BIND). This is a sometimes long-lasting disorder that can severly degrade sufferers' lives in a manner similar to fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome.
