🌈 Feeling Pride as an LGBTQ+ Adventist 🌈 For many of us who were raised in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, learning to feel pride in who we are didn’t come easily. We were often taught that our identities were something to be hidden, “fixed,” or prayed away — instead of something to be celebrated. 💔 But the truth is this: you are wonderfully made. Your identity, your capacity to love, your longing for connection — all of these reflect the divine image in which you were created. 🕊️✨ Feeling pride isn’t about arrogance. It’s about healing. It’s about reclaiming the dignity and worth that harmful messages tried to strip away. It’s about standing tall and saying: ➡️ I am not broken. ➡️ I am not alone. ➡️ I am deeply loved by God. That’s why SDA Kinship International has been so important for so many. For 49 years, Kinship has walked alongside LGBTQ+ Adventists and allies, offering a safe space to heal, grow, and experience unconditional love. 💜 In a world where too many churches still promote harmful “change” ministries, Kinship reminds us that we don’t need to change to be loved.
