Border Animal Rescue can only save a limited number of homeless pets based on how many volunteer foster homes are available within our organization. By becoming a volunteer with us, we can save more pets. Fostering cats and dogs is very important to the pet in other ways: it gives them time to decompress from being homeless and afraid to relaxed and loving. If it's a mama dog or cat, foster homes give them a safe place to have their babies and raise them in a safe environment until the kittens/puppies are old enough to go to their own, new homes (plus, the kittens and puppies will get socialization with humans and other pets, which makes them much more adoptable). If the pet is injured, a foster home is a place to have time to become healthy again. Are you interested? Do you want to give it a try?
