The Alabama School of Healthcare Sciences Foundation is a charitable, 501(c)(3) organization providing financial & educational support for the school, opening in the fall of 2026. This tuition-free, residential, specialty high school, part of the Alabama public school system, will offer STEMM curricula and work-based training focused on the health sciences to provide career-readiness in the healthcare industry or the foundation for additional healthcare education or training at a community or 4-year college or university. ASHS’ mission to alleviate Alabama’s rural healthcare workforce shortage is 3-pronged: 1) To fill the healthcare pipeline, 2) To improve public health, and 3) To serve as a model for government innovation & public-private partnerships.

Armed with training and certification graduates will fill healthcare jobs across the State of Alabama and make immediate positive contributions in an industry that has a dire need for trained professionals.
