Chains Interrupted
Chains Interrupted is a driving force that empowers communities and contends for the freedom of youth from human trafficking and exploitation through Awareness, Prevention, and Advocacy. Chains Interrupted is devoted to the work of ending human trafficking in Cedar Rapids, the State of Iowa, our nation, and the world. Prevention education efforts include law enforcement, medical professionals, hotels/motels, schools, social service agencies, community groups, financial institutions, churches, and the general public. We also assist those caught in this evil to find a way out. The goal of our Beauty from Ashes Program is to help survivors find wholeness and healing. Those that need safe housing while working through the program, find this in our Harbor House. Chains Interrupted partners with community organizations and individuals to accomplish all these goals. Our UnChainEd Coalition is open to anyone who wishes to get involved in the fight against human trafficking.
