The BPNA protects the historic integrity of the Bluff Park Historic District and creates a sense of collaboration, unity, community service & goodwill for the city of Long Beach, California. A 501c3 nonprofit with community events, meetings & projects. THE BLUFF PARK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION (BPNA) IS A 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION IN GOOD STANDING. ITS MISSION IS TO PRESERVE, PROTECT, UNIFY, AND REFLECT THE HISTORIC INTEGRITY AND GOODWILL OF THE BLUFF PARK HISTORIC DISTRICT AND ITS APPROXIMATELY 3,500 RESIDENTS. FOR 50 YEARS, ITS RESIDENTS HAVE HAD AN ACTIVE ORGANIZATION AND THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR OUR ANNUAL INCOME HAS EXCEEDED 50,000 AND ARE FILING FORM 990EZ FOR THE FIRST TIME. BPNA WAS ORIGINALLY NAMED BEACH AREA CONCERNED CITIZENS TO PROTECT THE AREA FROM ILL-CONCEIVED EFFORTS TO REMOVE THE E. 1ST ST LAMPPOSTS AND ALLOW HIGH-RISE, MULTI-UNIT RESIDENCES, AND EFFORTS TO FURTHER COMMERCIALIZE AND LIMIT PUBLIC ENJOYMENT OF OUR COASTAL NEIGHBORHOOD. THE BPNA'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS, WHO SERVE AS UNPAID VOLUNTEERS, OVERSEE THE BLUFF PARK LAMPPOST PROJECT AND ORGANIZE ALL NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGS, EVENTS, INCLUDING OUR ANNUAL BLOCK PARTY AND OUR ANNUAL LAMPPOST FUNDRAISER. BPNA HELPS FOSTER A SENSE OF UNITY AND NEIGHBORHOOD COLLABORATION
