Since 1992 STREETLIGHTS has been redressing the INEQUITY of race behind-the-camera. Creating Entertainment Industry careers for young adult minorities. Streetlights is a Job Training, Job Placement and Career Advancement organization whose mission is to create careers for severely low-income young women and men from diverse backgrounds, while increasing diversity throughout the Entertainment Industry. The Streetlights mission is to advocate for social and economic equality by providing viable career pathways for underserved men and women who may not have a solid education base or stable work history. In particular, the organization will deliver job training, job placement and career advancement services to young BIPOC adults from marginalized communities, leading to well-paying careers behind-the-camera in Commercials, Television, Film and Streaming Media.
