The "Northern Star" is a 65' Passenger Vessel on Lake Memphremagog in Newport, VT. PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE LAKE-BASED EDUCATION, MARITIME HISTORY, AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR STEWARDSHIP OF LAKE MEMPHREMAGOG THROUGH HANDS-ON PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS, TEACHERS, LOCAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, TOURISTS AND VISITORS TO OUR AREA. PROGRAMS TO BE DESIGNED TO DELIVER A UNIQUE CROSS-BORDER CREATIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AND CURRICULUM SERVING STUDENTS OF ALL AGES TO LEARN ABOUT THE LAKE'S ECOLOGY, MARITIME HISTORY, AND RICH INTERNATIONAL INDIAN CULTURE.
