We wish to build an affordable community to create a healthy place to age with priority to those over 50 and those with disabilities particularly autism. We aim to build long term relationships through volunteer activities addressing the current epidemic of loneliness. Autism education, community facilitation, and leveraging relationships with services that already exist will be the activities of our organization. Our goal is to create a new model of healthy aging creating community engagement through volunteer neighborly activity. How did we become a society of isolation and loneliness? It is time to change this. Intergenerational relationships share the value of experience of the aging with the less experienced and vulnerable. As we age many of us seek meaningful life.
