Love cats? Join our quest for a cure! Kidney Disease kills 1 in 3 cats--we raise awareness, & provide grants for the best evidence-based humane research! There is no cure yet; please help us find one. We are a charitable foundation that works to raise public awareness of feline kidney disease, and raises funds for kidney disease research being performed by veterinarians. Feline Chronic Kidney Disease is one of the biggest killers of cats, claiming the lives of approximately 1 of every 3 feline companions. At Foundation for Feline Renal Research, we work tirelessly to raise awareness, and to raise funds for the very best evidence-based humane research being performed by academic veterinarians who are standouts in the field. We screen potential grant recipients with great care, and pledge that we will not fund any research that harms animals. To date, we've conferred $21,500 in grants, and we have just pledged an additional $67,000. This is just the beginning; research requires patience and persistence, and there is so much more to be done in our quest for better treatments and ultimately, a cure for Feline CKD.
