We were treated to a fantastic discussion of the history of services for people with disabilities today. Jack Yates led the discussion, drawing on his decades of experience working and studying in the field. Jack was guided by his teacher, the legendary Wolf Wolfensberger and has seen the evolution of human services firsthand. It is critical that we understand the history behind our work, as we acknowledge the incredible progress that has been made for the people we serve, and work toward a more equitable future for all.
