A little bit of history on this Wellness Wednesday. In 2018, an English teacher, Margo-Fisher-Bellman. began Wellness Wednesday in her classroom. She was inspired by her students who were discussing their well-being. Since then, this weekly movement grew with many organizations and individuals using it to promote positivity and self care on this day. WELCOME TO Project IOWA Project IOWA came to me at a time of need when I had just been laid off for the third time in six years. When I found Project IOWA I lacked the selfconfidence and support I needed to find my next step. Project IOWA surrounded me with the open arms of community the VIP curriculum and the mentorship and training I needed to believe in myself again. Im so happy to have found a job and a new field of work that suits my passion for the LGBTQ community and public health.
