The Kleberg County Adult Literacy Council is a South Texas non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that provides literacy instruction in Kleberg and Kenedy Counties for adults 18 and older with limited reading, writing and/or English speaking skills. Instruct adult students to increase their ability to speak English and improve their reading skills; identify, coordinate, promote and expand literacy efforts; increase citizen awareness of the problem of illiteracy; identify, recruit, train and supervise volunteer tutors.
