Prosperity Rings

Follow Message Edit

Prosperity Rings was founded in December, 2000 by Nancy Pasternak, a mental health trauma and domestic violence specialist, after witnessing the poverty and victimization of women in India. She decided to connect donors from relatively prosperous countries with a known pool of the poorest, most destitute women to enable them to establish their own small, sustainable enterprises as a means of support for their families. Through accredited on-site micro-lending partner facilitators in India (so far), that PR screened, and continually visits, PR applies donors' gifts to specific women borrowers in the form of a non-collateral micro loan with reasonable interest to enable donor measurement of personal and community progress. Donor funds constantly revolve and grow and thus drastically, positively change and often save lives. Nancy says, "It is Derick's and my pleasure to continue to donate the administrative and travel expenses of Prosperity Rings so that all donor funds go directly to borrowers."
