LOS ANGELES BROTHERHOOD CRUSADE INC
The Brotherhood Crusade was founded in 1968 to provide necessary resources, program services and a voice of advocacy to traditionally underserved communities. A non-profit organization addressing the needs of South Los Angeles' underserved populations since 1968. Brotherhood Crusade's mission is to remove and/or help individuals overcome the barriers that deter their pursuit of success in life; effectuate academic and vocational success; provide opportunities for personal, social, and economic growth; promote access to artistic excellence and cultural awareness; increase financial literacy; facilitate opportunities for a better quality of life; and promote health and safety. The cornerstone of our work is helping low-income under-served residents improve their quality of life through the provision of youth development programs, health education, financial education, cultural awareness & appreciation, physical fitness, nutrition, life & social skills training, employment readiness & job placement, counseling, food, clothing, and shelter.

Brotherhood Crusade – Vision | Passion | Leadership | Action Brotherhood Crusade is a 50year old grassroots organization with a vision of improving quality of life and meeting the unmet needs of lowincome underserved underrepresented and disenfranchised individuals. We envision a South Los Angeles devoid of health disparities disenfranchisement and povertyassociated adverse public health conditions. When Danny Bakewell retired in 2005 the leadership of the Brotherhood Crusade was entrusted to Bremonds daughter Charisse Bremond Weaver. Under her stewardship Brotherhood Crusade has steadily progressed in achieving its mission and goals.
