Yesterday, we wrapped up Fire Ops 101 in Boise. South Pierce Fire and Rescue Board of Commissioners Chair, Judson Willis, took part in the event bringing his perspective as a commissioner since 2021 into the full-day, hands-on experience putting on our boots for the day. Fire Ops 101 immerses decision-makers in the real-world challenges our Firefighters and Paramedics face daily. From advancing hose lines to performing rescues, participants got a firsthand look at how time-critical, technical, and labor-intensive our work truly is. Thanks to this experience, leaders like Chair Willis are better equipped to make informed decisions that impact our members, our fire departments, and the communities we proudly serve. #IAFF7thDistrict (fb)
