Able Athletics empowers children with disabilities through tailored sports programming, while providing educational training for our volunteers in order to inspire a more inclusive future Able Lacrosse is a not-for-profit, registered 501(c)(3) organization that was founded by brothers, Rowan & Christian Dias who were inspired by their younger sister who has developmental differences. Our mission is to create a movement of inclusion in the lacrosse community by providing access for those who typically cannot participate in mainstream programming. We have since dissolved the organization and started a new organization under the name Able Athletics to embody a greater mission of inclusion in sports beyond lacrosse.

INCLUSIVE SPORTS For All ABILITIEs inclusion begins with education INCLUSION EDUCATION IS THE FIRST Step TO Able athletics is committed to fostering a more inclusive world for youth living with developmental disorders and others with needs for accommodations by imparting the importance of inclusivity through education. we strive to create an inclusive environment for children of all abilities actively addressing the challenges encountered by those with learning attention physical and intellectual differences. our programs thoughtfully led by dedicated therapists special education teachers professional coaches and volunteers not only promote inclusivity but also emphasize the value of teaching it as a fundamental step towards building a more inclusive society. OUR IMPACT Able athletics significantly enhances community inclusion for individuals with and without intellectual disabilities by offering adaptive sports programs promoting social integration skillbuilding and a sense of belonging.

✨Able Athletics is excited to announce a field hockey friendly opportunity on Saturday, October 11 at 12:00 PM at Hofstra University. 🏑We’ll be playing a friendly game with the Long Island All Starz. This free event is a wonderful chance for athletes to experience playing on a college field, with the support of the Hofstra University Field Hockey team.
