In the heart of Natick Center stands a beautiful tribute honoring the brave soldiers who served in the Spanish-American War (1898). 🇺🇸 The Spanish-American War Memorial was erected to honor the Citizens of Natick who volunteered for United States Service in the Spanish American War and Phillipine Insurection of 1898. The Memorial “comprises a granite base with a block carrying a municipal flag pole. Bronze tablets carry the names of all members of Company L of Natick, United States Volunteers, also all citizens of Natick who saw service in other organizations other than Company L including the regular Army, Marine Corps, and Navy.” The Memorial was dedicated on April 19, 1925. The total cost of the memorial was $4,031.37 (Final Report of the Committee on Spanish War Memorial, 1926).
