Vietnamese Bible, Inc.
Our Great Commission Vietnamese Theologian team completed the translation of Vietnam's first committee Bible from the Greek and Hebrew texts in 2001. Since that time, 276,000 New Vietnamese Bibles (NVB), New Testaments and New Testaments with Psalms and Proverbs have been printed and 270,000 have been distributed. Of these, 125,000 were legally printed in Vietnam for the churches. Our Chief Translator, Dr. Dao Tran, continues developing helps for this Bible at the requests of pastors and church leaders in Vietnam. After having completed the legal printing in Danang, VN of 75,000 New Vietnamese Bibles and 50,000 New Vietnamese New Testaments with Psalms & Proverbs in December 2008, there is already a need for more in Vietnam. We have been blessed with the government's approval for us to print, but lack of funds are slowing the effort. Now because of the desire of the government of Vietnam for their people to learn English as a second language, the Wycliffe Translators have completed formatting the New Vietnamese New Testament/New English Translation New Testament Parallel for Vietnam. In addition, the Wycliffe Translators are completing the formatting of the Pocket New Vietnamese New Testament with a Genesis 1:1 to 12:9 Introduction. as the churches in Vietnam multipy, so does the need for New Vietnamese Bibles.
