The Immigrant Family Defense Fund IFDF supports immigrant families in California public schools by helping them access qualified immigration legal services mental health and other support and to cover the cost of immigration bond if a family member is detained. IFDF works closely with local school districts to help ensure that a students immigration status or that of their parents is not a barrier to academic success and mental and emotional health.
