Chartered in 1980, Soroptimist International of the Kachinas is a non-profit 501 (c)(3)* women’s service organization, which improves the lives of women and girls in our local community and throughout the world. The name, Soroptimist, means “best for women,” and that’s what the organization strives to achieve. Soroptimist members belong to local clubs, which determine the focus of service to their communities. Soroptimist International of the Kachinas is part of an international organization that boasts over 88,000 members and supporters in 121 countries and territories. Soroptimist clubs work within their own communities and globally and do so with your help. Our vision is for women and girls to have the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams. For over 100 years Soroptimist mission has been to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.
