NORTH SLOPE ACCESS ANNOUNCEMENT Starting May 19, bridge work will begin on Cooper Rd SW (ORV entrance) and will affect access to North Slope trails. During this closure, the KC Line gate will remain OPEN to allow access to the trails and parking area. Thurston County is expecting the closure to last through September. Follow Home About Us Get Involved Trail Guide Event Calendar More Friends of Capitol Forest is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to mountain biking in Capitol State Forest. Founded in 2005 we continue to work with land managers legislators and other user groups to advocate for more trail miles and maintain our existing trail network. We host two monthly work parties and organize fun events throughout the year including shuttle days and our annual Capitol Forest Festival in August. Support us in our efforts by becoming a member joining a work party or donating funds.
