Hi, My name is Gina D'Andraia Schneebalg. In May of 2015 my 5 year old daughter Reese Avery Schneebalg became suddenly ill with an E. coli 0157 infection that progressed to HUS. After a 4 day stay in the hospital our amazing, beautiful little girl lost her battle. After Reese passed away our life and the world we knew just stopped. I felt I had to do something in her honor and what better way than to put smiles on the faces of children that have an extended stay in the hospital. In April of 2016 we had our first fundraiser in Reese's honor for her 6th birthday and it was a huge success! We were able to raise $6000.00 in 20 days to buy toys for the new oncology wing in Cohen Children's Medical Center. A closet to hold the toys was dedicated to our sweet girl along with a Plaque at the top engraved with her name. We were so overcome with joy and a purpose after seeing the impact our donation made to the hospital and children we decided to start a non profit to keep making a difference in the lives of children. Our mission is to make a difference by continuing to raise funds for organizations such as.. 1) Cohen Children's Medical Center We want to continue to supply the hospital with toys and art carts in Reese's memory! 2) Surf for All - an organization that makes it possible for children and adults with autism and disabilities to get in the ocean and surf! 3) Make a Wish Foundation - providing terminally ill children and their families the opportunity to make their dreams come true.
