A Reminder This Tuesday evening, March 4 @ 7 PM, in the Blue Room/City Space, Main Street, Easthampton, Pascommuck Conservation Trust, pctland.org will be holding our all-are-welcome Annual Meeting (our 43rd, BTW). Our guest speaker will be Laurie Sanders, a naturalist/historian from Northampton. She is the former host of Field Notes, a weekly natural history series that aired on NEPR for a decade and the present co-director of Historic Northampton,. Her presentation will be, “The Manhan River: Looking Back, Looking Forward.” The Manhan River and its tributaries have profoundly influenced Easthampton’s history and ecology and continue to do so. Laurie will provide an overview of the Manhan River watershed–from its geologic origins and special habitats to its role in human history and significance to conservation, recreation, wildlife, and climate change resilience.
