We exist to advocate for the conservation, sustainability, and protection of the Haiku coastline, from Peahi to Puniawa. MALAMA H?M?KUA IS A NON-PROFIT, COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATION CREATED TO HELP THE COUNTY WITH MAINTAINING AND PRESERVING THE HAMAKUA OPEN SPACE. FUNDING IS THROUGH GRANTS AND MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY.

Malama Hamakua Maui – Hamakualoa Open Space Preserve Plant Restoration Nonnative species abound across much of Hawaii. Our goal is to restore many of the native plants of the area within the Hamakualoa Open Space Preserve. Restore Streams Ka Wai Ola Water is life. This was an important concept to Hawaiians and remains so everywhere.
