Congrats to our Prep School chess players on becoming state champions! During spring break, Nico C. ’25, James O. ’25, Chloe S. ’26, Dominic P. ’27, Harper W. ’27, Milana W. ’27 and Tani A. ’28 competed at the 57th Annual NYS Scholastic High School Championship, clinching the team title.⁣ ⁣ Nico, an International Master and one of the top 100 players in the country, also won first place in the individual round, becoming the 2025 NYS High School Champion. Congrats to Advanced Science Research senior Daniel A. on becoming one of 13 students selected to represent NYC at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the world's largest science research competition for high schoolers! This marks the fifth consecutive year that CGPS has had an ISEF finalist. ⁣ ⁣ Students from across the city submitted their research projects to the Regeneron-affiliated Terra NYC STEM Fair, hoping to advance to the finals and qualify for ISEF. During spring break, Daniel presented his poster to judges at the NYC finals, earning first place in Physics & Space Science.⁣ ⁣ About 1,800 students from all 50 states and more than 60 countries will participate in the ISEF finals, which will take place in Columbus, Ohio, in May. ⁣ We wish Daniel the best of luck at ISEF!⁣ ⁣ #CGPSnyc #STEM (fb)
