Yesterday, the Class of 2025 tossed their caps in the air at Alice Tully Hall as they became proud graduates of CGPS! The ceremony featured inspiring speeches from Head of School Will Moseley, PS Director Dr. Scott Wilson, seniors Sabina Levkov, Simone McLetchie and Sophie Eisenberg, and keynote speaker Savannah Guthrie—the co-anchor of NBC’s Today, NBC News’ chief legal correspondent and a NYTimes bestselling author.⁣ ⁣ Ms. Guthrie encouraged the graduates to be authentic, stay curious and step outside their comfort zones as they begin their next chapters.⁣ ⁣ Congratulations, Class of 2025! Last week, we held our sixth annual Advanced Science Research Symposium! Students in ASR, a three-year program for grades 10–12, pursue original investigations in science, engineering and mathematics—diving deep into complex questions typically explored only at the college level or beyond. 🔬⁣ ⁣ The Symposium celebrated eight seniors, who were honored with their ASR diplomas and ceremonial white lab coats. The event also featured remarks from ASR alumnus Lucas Libshutz ’23, a current mechanical engineering student at Cornell.⁣ In his address, he reflected on how the skills he developed in ASR—from independent problem-solving to communicating complex ideas—have been invaluable in his college coursework and research.⁣ ⁣ Later, each student gave a poster presentation on their research project, and the seniors delivered slide presentations.
