THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FAMILIES WITH EDUCATION, SUPPORT, GUIDANCE, AND GENERAL REFERRAL SERVICES. THE SOCIETY PROMOTES EDUCATION FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND THE PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY, AND CONDUCTS IN-SERVICE WORKSHOPS FOR SKILLED NURSING FACILITIES, RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS WITH LEGISLATORS IN CALIFORNIA TO EDUCATE IN THE AREAS OF INCREASED FUNDING FOR RESEARCH, LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE, AND RESPITE CARE FOR CAREGIVERS. OVER 5,000 PEOPLE WERE GIVEN ASSISTANCE IN 2019 AND 7060 HOURS OF ASSISTANCE GIVEN.
