📚 Children’s book series about Kelly a boy with Down syndrome and his amazing friends with special abilities.💛💙🐨 Inspired by Kelly Owen Burk Book series about Kelly, a boy with Down syndrome, and his amazing friends with special abilities. Our goal is to increase representation of special abilities individuals in media through advocacy. Kelly’s Foundation was started by Jordan Burk in honor of his uncle, Kelly Owen Burk. Jordan wanted to develop fun, colorful, and educational material for young children of all ages with an emphasis on those with Down syndrome. The sole purpose of Kelly’s Foundation is to promote the Kelly & Kelso book series and show. All funding from Kelly’s Foundation goes directly towards supporting the production and distribution of the Kelly & Kelso series. Kelly and his new friends show children that everyone is the same on the inside, and it’s our differences that make this wonderful world an interesting and special place.

Plot twist: I didn’t get invited to Crayola Experience for my coloring skills (though my stick figures are top-tier). Instead, I’ll be hanging out at Sensory Sunday, hosted by the amazing folks at Hank’s Friends—an event created just for kids with autism and other sensory needs. It’s quieter, calmer, and full of kindness (and yes, still full of color).
