Colorado Horsepower equine programs for veterans and first responders Welcome Our programs are crafted to enhance the lives of veterans active duty and firstresponders through the power of connecting with something bigger than themselves literally and figuratively. Through horsemanship the men and women in our programs learn life skills that apply beyond the barn leadership confidence compassion nonverbal communication problemsolving and more. We are a 501 c 3 with deep roots in Douglas County. What started in 1984 as equineassisted therapy for people with disabilities has grown into a program focusing on horsemanship for heroes.
