Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their sacrifice reflects the greatest kind of love — as Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13) Their courage and commitment inspire us to live with gratitude and purpose every day.
