ALAMEDA COUNTY NETWORK OF MENTAL HEALTH CLIENTS
Our mission is to improve the quality of life of mental health clients within Alameda County by promoting freedom of choice, empowerment, and independent living within the community. We accomplish this mission by supporting consumer-developed and run programs, advocating for a truly consumer responsive mental health system, and reflecting the diversity of the mental health community, prioritizing those who have been most underserved and stigmatized. We provide an administrative and programmatic umbrella for 6 client-run self-help mental health programs: the Berkeley Drop-In Center, BestNow!, MHSA Consumer Leadership Program, Reach-Out, Reaching Across, and the Tenant Support Program.
