THE AMERICAN HIMALAYAN FOUNDATION
After nearly a month of school closures due to a teacher’s strike in Nepal, students are back in the classroom, and we’re celebrating their return. At AHF, we believe education is the key to challenging and breaking through systemic barriers like poverty and discrimination based on caste, gender, and disability. So, we make sure the students we support have what they need to learn and thrive, from warm meals and school supplies to specialized caretakers and college tuition.

Seventy-two years ago today, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay became the first people to summit Mt. Everest. That’s what they’re most famous for, but they were both also proud of their work giving back to Himalayan communities – and, at AHF, we are honored to carry forward that legacy.
