The Tegan and Sara Foundation fights for health, economic justice and representation for LGBTQ girls and women. This mission is founded on a commitment to feminism and racial, social and gender justice. In partnership and solidarity with other organizations fighting for LGBTQ and women's rights, the Foundation raises awareness and funds to address the inequalities currently preventing LGBTQ girls and women from reaching their full potential.

_ OUR MISSION TO INVEST IN THE POTENTIAL OF 2SLGBTQ COMMUNITIES. We envision a world where 2SLGBTQ communities thrive. We do this by raising funds and fighting for 2SLGBTQ equality and justice through our flagship programming and support of grassroots organizations activists and communities that often go unrecognized. PROJECT SPOTLIGHT LGBTQ HEALTHCARE DIRECTORY FREE SEARCHABLE DATABASE OF LGBTQINCLUSIVE HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS LGBTQ patients deserve healthcare providers who they can be open and honest with free from fear of stigma or bias.

In times like these, we know that small, grassroots queer organizations are often able to make the most meaningful, direct impact for those they serve - but they are also some of the groups that suffer most (while also being passed over by major funding institutions). This is the very problem that inspired Tegan and Sara Foundation’s Community Grants, launched in 2020 at the onset of COVID-19 to provide rapid response support to grassroots queer organizations.
