Wasatch Community Gardens

👩‍🌾 Green Team members are looking for more experience! 💚 🌱 Green Team members and "Farmily" alike have enjoyed their time participating in the farm based job training program. As they begin to learn and gain confidence in their skills, interest continues to grow in practicing and strengthening gardening and growing experience. One way this is currently being explored is by engaging with the community and supporting neighbors in maintaining their personal growing spaces, both big and small. 🍅 Through their time spent preparing for Spring Plant Sale, Green Team members are well-equipped to lend their hands at seed starting and caring for seedlings. The current Job Training Program participants have recently gotten out of the greenhouses to begin weeding, replacing irrigation, mitigating pests, and preparing the 20+ garden beds for summer growing. Soon, they will learn more about growing and harvesting organic produce, some perennial cut flower care, and so much more! 🤝 If you are someone who is looking for a little extra power in your garden this summer, there are plenty of trained team members and Farmily seeking this type of connection and are ready to work hard. I work in a nonprofit and listing our organization on Eduo.org helped us reach new audiences and even new volunteers. It’s easy to use and feels built with love.
